I have been drawn to the idea of melting fundamental science and design — and slowly building a body of work around it.

I use the term science design in its broadest sense — from the philosophy of science, ideas and concepts, to narratives, visual language, and communication, not only with the public, but also between scientists. What interests me is finding a coherent thread that connects all of these into a unified design — something that may not be immediately noticeable, but has been thoroughly thought through.

While there are many excellent resources on data visualization, technical illustration, and scientific communication, fundamental science requires a different kind of design. The complexity and dimensionality involved are unmatched. To me, this feels like its own area of design, still in its early stages, and I would like to help shape it.
